Scope of position

Acts as a specialist and investigator concerning land use and design, while working together with developers, government officials, and other interested parties to make decisions regarding project site plans. The Land Planner’s decisions are informed by existing regulations, and have an impact on economic and environmental levels.

Focus and Responsibilities

  • Has overall land development responsibility for a variety of projects and project teams, including client contact, civil engineering, municipal and preliminary Landscape Architecture coordination.
  • Develops scope of work with Partner and Project Manager.
  • Provides preliminary programming for development of the site.
  • Researches land development code and municipal regulations; understands jurisdictional programs and processes.
  • Meets with Zoning and Municipal Officials and is able to discuss code related issues.
  • Prepares schematic building plans to determine site organization.
  • Coordinates parking requirements and unit mix with Owner, Project Manager and Civil Engineer.
  • Develops strategies for unique site conditions – existing trees, wetlands, brownfield, urban infill, etc.

Scope of position

The Architectural Professional is creative and detail-oriented, while working on multiple projects at a time in collaboration with project teams without compromising the standard of their work. This individual works towards producing comprehensive design and construction documents that communicate specific and precise building designs to the project team. This position positively impacts the collective team, by being an integral component in creating a long lasting beautiful project.

Focus and Responsibilities

  • Analyzes building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements, and other technical data to determine their effects on architectural design.
  • Collaborates with production team for solutions to design issues.
  • Meets with client to review vision and design intent.
  • Collaborates with the project team in preparing vision books, drawings, renderings, and design presentation.
  • Coordinates architecture with design professionals such as Landscape Architect, Civil engineer, Structural Engineer, MEP Engineer, and Interior Designer.
  • Produces design documents for buildings that are more functional, aesthetic and durable.
  • Collaborates with the project team to create and assemble the set of construction documents.
  • Attends periodic site visits with the project Construction Administrator.
  • Performs quality assurance checks on drawings with the Project Coordinator and Project Manager.
  • Is trained in company production standards and processes.
  • Works toward completing Internship hours in accordance with NCARB’s Architectural Experience Program.

The Project Manager acts as a representative of the company, and oversees the procurement and development of projects. They impact the development of the project team and the project, while striving for excellence, demonstrating passion and integrity, empowering others, and collaborating with the team, client, and consultants.

Focus and Responsibilities

  • Has overall project management responsibility for a variety of projects or project teams, including client contact, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Estimates scope of work.
  • Estimates fees; may or may not have input from the Principal in charge.
  • Coordinates administrative efforts in collaboration with the administrative team; such as contracts and billing.
  • Acts as the point of contact for the client, and develops the relationship with the client.
  • Responsible for full execution of the project, and its conformance with client needs.
  • Communicates with and coordinates between project consultants.
  • Reviews project teams’ work and assignments for conformance and guidance.
  • Leads project team meetings.
  • Tracks the project schedule, process, and progress.
  • Mentors Junior Project Managers and empowering them to take on responsibilities of the Project Manager.
  • Empowers others.
