Steven Flositz serves as the Principal + Director of Special Projects at CBA Architects. His design philosophy is rooted in thoughtful, purposeful decision-making and the pursuit of functional balance. With extensive experience as both an Architect and Studio Director, Steven has led projects spanning precast and concrete construction, high-rise multifamily housing, mixed-use retail, and resort hospitality developments. His diverse background has strengthened his ability to navigate complex design challenges from initial concept through project delivery.
Some of Steven’s notable projects include the RAM Biscayne, Universal Stella Nova Resort, Universal Terra Luna Resort, Novel Beach Park, Camden North Quarter, The CenterPointe Apartments, The Parker at Maitland Station, and InterContinental Orlando.
Steven draws inspiration from Modernism, Urbanism, and Brutalism, embracing an architectural approach rooted in honesty of materials and construction methods. He believes these elements are not only essential to the built environment, but can also express elegance and authenticity. His appreciation for light as both an architectural object and material enriches the spatial experience within his work. Structural elements are celebrated with integrity, resulting in spaces that are visually compelling, expressive, and memorable.
Outside of the studio, Steven enjoys coaching baseball, gardening, cooking, and participating in fantasy football.
