Craig Garbarini, AIA, LEED AP, serves as Vice President + Principal + Director of Human Resources at CBA Architects. Since joining the firm in 1996, Craig has played an integral role in shaping both the company’s projects and culture, and he was named Partner in 2018.

Growing up in a military household, Craig experienced the unique perspective of rarely living in the same place for more than two years before attending University of Illinois in 1987. During his time there, he earned academic scholarships, made the Dean’s List, and was inducted into the Gargoyle Architecture Honor Society. Craig went on to earn both his Bachelor of Architecture in 1991 and his Master of Architectural Studies in 1993 from the University of Illinois. He also holds NCARB certification, is a LEED Accredited Professional, a licensed architect, and a Predictive Index Practitioner.

Clients value Craig’s experience, leadership, and dedication, as well as his ability to build strong relationships while consistently keeping projects on schedule and within budget. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the development of more than 18,000 apartment units with clubhouse and amenity buildings, along with more than 500 oceanfront mid-rise and high-rise luxury condominium units. His experience also includes the programming and master planning of Daytona Beach Shores City Center, in addition to a variety of commercial developments, including churches, offices, retail spaces, and restaurants. Some of his notable works include Landon House in Lake Nona, Ocean Vistas in Daytona Beach Shores, Alta Trilogy in Longwood, along with numerous multifamily and mixed-use communities throughout the Southeast.

Craig’s personal philosophy centers on the importance of respecting and enjoying the people you work alongside. While often a man of few words, his insight is consistently thoughtful and frequently delivered with a sharp sense of humor. He is also actively involved with American Institute of Architects.
