Craig Garbarini has been with Charlan Brock Architects since 1996. In that time, he has successfully completed over 18,000 apartment units with clubhouse and amenity buildings for each. He has been responsible for over 500 oceanfront mid and high-rise luxury condominium units. In addition to the residential experience, Garbarini was involved in the programming and master planning for Daytona Beach Shores City Center and has completed a number of commercial buildings including churches, office, light retail, and restaurant.
Garbarini has been a registered Architect since 2004 and is a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards Certificate holder. In 2018, Garbarini was named partner at Charlan Brock Architects. Clients respect his experience and dedication. They appreciate his ability to keep projects on schedule and in budget and the way he develops and maintains relationships with his clients.
Garbarini has a personal philosophy that it is important to enjoy and respect the people you work with. He can be a man of few words, but when he does speak up it is always thoughtful and often times delivered with a sharp sense of humor. When accused of being too quiet, Garbarini will tell you, “If you are always talking you are not listening. An architect that does not listen to the client will certainly fail that client.”
Garbarini grew up in a military household and had the unique experience of never living in the same location for longer than two years until he enrolled at the University of Illinois in the fall of 1987. Six years of staying put earned him a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 1991 and a Masters Degree in Architectural Structures in 1993. During his time at the University of Illinois, he was awarded academic scholarships, made the Dean’s list, and was selected into the Gargoyle Architecture Honor Society.
